Expectant and new moms have unique physical, mental and emotional needs that pre and postnatal yoga can be helpful in addressing. Kait Zwagerman and Lindsey Cassidy are honored and excited to offer two, five-week series beginning October 22, running through November 19, specifically designed for pregnant and postpartum women.
The months leading up to child birth are ones of excitement, anticipation and preparation. Research has found that practicing yoga during pregnancy significantly improves sleep quality and decreases back pain, nausea and stress. Our prenatal yoga series is a gentle and inspirational prenatal yoga class that is appropriate for all levels of practice (even those new-to-yoga)! Kait will guide you through gentle stretching and asana (postures), using movement to connect with your breath and baby. Lindsey and Kait are both passionate about fostering communities of support for women and hope to provide time for moms to take care of themselves while juggling the demands of motherhood and life. Lindsey and Kait are mothers to active toddlers and became fast friends through “mommy and me” yoga.
