A Thai massage incorporates a traditional combination of acupressure, energy meridian work and passive yoga stretching. There are no oils used, the client remains clothed and treatment is given on a mat on the floor instead of a massage table.
Kfir Koli was born and raised in Jerusalem. An athlete his entire life, he started playing water polo at age 10. From age 15 he played for the Israeli National Team until his enlistment in the Israeli Army. After the army he played and coached Water Polo for another 10 years.
As an adult, Kfir has found a balance between bodywork and different mind-body healing treatments. When his now daughter was born in 2005, he started observing and learning babies movement in the water and then began studying hydro-therapy. He is trained in WATSU, water dance and baby swim.
Kfir began studying mat and reformer pilates with former Batsheva dancer Richard Orbach in 2004. He has been teaching pilates in studios as well as privately in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv for over 15 years.
In 2014 Kfir moved to Thailand for 6 months to study Traditional Thai Massage. This practice has become his specialty which he keeps developing throughout the years.
In 2016 Kfir started studying Vijnana Yoga with Orit Sen Gupta. After a 3 year course he started teaching yoga in studios as well as privately across Tel-Aviv.
Kfir loves to bike for exercise and also for transportation whenever possible. He has been leading a week-long bike trip for his alma mater The Arava Institute every November from Jerusalem to Eilat for the past 18 years.
