Heart of the Village Yoga

A Free Reiki for Recovery Clinic is being by Presented by Abby Skidmore of  North Star Healing Institute, 10am to 12 Noon on Saturday, July 24 at Heart of the Village Yoga, 3556 Main Street, Manchester, Vermont.

Anyone affected by addiction is welcome to come receive a free 30 minute Reiki treatment. Recipients email fully clothed and may lie on a massage table or sit in a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands in different positions the body (or just above, contact is not required to gain the effect, if one prefers). The healing can happen distantly. Sessions are approximately 30 minutes.

Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a “universal energy” is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.

Abby Skidmore, owner of North Star Healing Institute, began her journey as the owner of a healing practice in 2017 when she relocated Studio Gratitude to Manchester Center, Vermont. Abby is a Vermont Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master and 200-hour trained yoga instructor. Abby completed extensive coursework in Florida in 2020, in preparation for launching her reimagined healing practice — North Star Healing Institute.
