Lisa Brand
E-RYT®500
About
A lifelong yoga practitioner, Lisa earned her first teaching certification in 2006. She holds two distinct 500-hour certifications, including one from Heart of the Village Yoga (HOTV), both rooted in the Ashtanga tradition. In addition, Lisa is a certified instructor in Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery), reflecting her commitment to yoga as a tool for holistic healing.
Driven by curiosity and a love for learning, Lisa has explored a wide range of yogic disciplines, including Yin, Restorative, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Kundalini, Jivamukti,
Bhakti, and Ayurveda. This broad base of study informs her inclusive and adaptive
teaching style.
Lisa discovered Pilates in 2007 and quickly recognized its value as a complement to yoga. By 2009, she became a fully certified Mat and Apparatus Pilates Instructor through both Peak Pilates and Balanced Body. She continues to deepen her knowledge through ongoing workshops and conferences, with a focus on spinal health and physical rehabilitation.
In 2013, Lisa relocated to Vermont with her husband and children. Now an empty nester, she balances teaching with personal pursuits like pickleball, strength training, golf, and travel.
